Authorship and Plagiarism

The authorship of a manuscript should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the work and who take responsibility for its content in relation to the public. These contributions include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualization, design, data analysis, and interpretation of the study;
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript content;
  • Final approval of the version to be published;
  • Agreement to take responsibility for all aspects of the work by ensuring that any questions regarding accuracy or integrity thoroughly investigated and resolved appropriately.

Submission of a manuscript to Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi (JIKOM) signifies that all authors involved in the submission have agreed to the content of the manuscript. The corresponding author (sender) is responsible for ensuring that all authors fully understand the content of this agreement and for maintaining communication between the journal and the co-authors both before and after publication. In the event of a request for changes to the authorship list after submission, such as modifications to the author order, or the addition or removal of an author, the request must be accompanied by a letter signed by all original authors. The letter should be scanned and sent via email to [EMAIL JIKOM].

Authors submitting to Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi (JIKOM) must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and does not involve any form of fraud, forgery, or plagiarism
  • The article has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All authors have thoroughly reviewed the manuscript and take full responsibility for its content.
  • All authors are fully aware of and agree to the terms outlined in the publishing agreement.
  • The article does not contain defamatory statements or violate any laws, and it does not include material that infringes upon individual privacy, ownership rights, or copyright laws.
  • All referenced copyrighted works are properly cited and attributed.
