Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi (JIKOM) implements the following review process policy:

  1. Authors are strongly advised to ensure that their manuscript and title page adhere to the journal’s template before submission.
  2. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process by the editor, focusing on the alignment with the journal's scope and template.
  3. During this stage, the editor will communicate with the authors to determine whether the manuscript is suitable for further review by reviewers or if it should be returned or rejected.
  4. Manuscripts that pass the above stages are sent to 2 reviewers for content evaluation using the double-blind review process.
  5. The review process will consider novelty, objectivity, methods, scholarly impact, conclusions, and references.
  6. Reviewers will provide feedback to the authors, which may include acceptance, revision requests, or rejection of the manuscript.
  7. The editor, in consultation with the reviewers, will make the final decision regarding whether the manuscript meets the standards of Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi (JIKOM).
  8. The decision of the Editor-in-Chief is final.
  9. The entire review process is carried out entirely through the OJS web platform.
